Apache Hadoop has grown from a batch-processing system to become the general-purpose platform for big-data. Last year we saw the addition of interactive SQL to the Hadoop ecosystem. This year brought full-text search. I'll talk about this trajectory, with a focus on the platform's new search capabilities.
